Join us on Saturday, September 13th in North East Community Park in North East, MD. This huge annual fundraiser helps us acquire the funds we need to cover rescue expenses for the year. We appreciate your support in helping us save more deserving dogs from high kill shelters, provide them with the medical care they need and place them with loving families.
Register to walk the 1 Mile dog friendly course in support of saving dogs from euthanasia. Register by August 24th to receive a commemorative event t-shirt and a goodie bag. Registrations received on or after August 25 receive a goodie bag. Your registration fee helps us raise the much needed funds to save as many dogs as possible and help them get the life and care they deserve.
Don't want to walk? You can still participate because entrance to the park is free. It's a day of FREE family and dog fun, vendors, kids crafts, demonstrations, lots of raffles, DJ, entertainment, 50/50, food trucks, and more!
Well-behaved, leashed furry family members are always welcome. No retractable leashes permitted due to safety concerns.
This event provides House of Hope with the majority of the funding we rely upon for the following year to fulfill our mission to save the lives of dogs who, through no fault of their own, find themselves in high-kill shelters.
100% of the funds raised go to our dogs. Your donation and fundraising efforts help pay for medical treatment, transportation, and foster supplies.
85% of our dogs are heartworm positive. The treatment averages $1,500 per dog while our adoption fees are only 20% of this cost alone.
House of Hope frequently donates dogs to be trained as emotional support or service dogs and we don't charge in those situations.
